The One Year Bible Reading Plan

Do you have any plans for learning and loving the Scriptures more deeply this year?

I'm planning to use The One Year Bible Reading Plan.  You can find it in various places on the web.  It's the one that starts with these readings on January 1:

Genesis 1.1-2.25
Matthew 1.1-2.12
Psalm 1.1-6
Proverbs 1.1-6

Let me know if you'd like to join me!  It would be fun to walk this path with companions & to know who they are.  And if you want a paper copy of the reading plan, I can give you one.

I'd encourage you to use the daily Psalm reading to consciously shape and enrich your prayer life.  Turn it into your personal prayer; after all, the Psalter is the Christian's prayer book.

"What a book the Bible is,
what a miracle,
what strength is given with it to man.
It is like a mould cast of the world and man and human nature,
everything is there,
and a law for everything for all the ages.
And what mysteries are solved and revealed."

~Father Zossima, a character in Dostoyevsky's
The Brothers Karamazov~
